Was recommended to me that i invest in a pair of shooting shoes.
I have been pointed at the new easy flex or the Corami. These are to be used on a 25m range. Are the Coramis so stiff as to make them un comfortable to walk the 25M to the target? Our range is semi outdoor so there is grass on the way to the targets.
I have read about the skate shoes and that is also an option. Any feed back from the above shoe owners?

Skate shoes definitely do not work, they are ultra flexible. Weightlifting shoes, on the other hand, are perfectly suitable. For the 50M pistol competition in the 2012 London Olympics, the top three wear Addidas Adipower Weightlifting shoes, Addidas Adipower Weightlifting shoes, and Corami shoes.

Shooting shoes are not totally stiff. If the shoes are totally stiff they actually will not pass the inspection.

I own a pair of Corami, but I have never tried Sauer, so I cannot give you an opinion of the differences.

If your standing on flat concrete what difference does the amount of flex in the shoe matter? Now unstable cushy shoes that's a different story but that isn't stiffness. This stiffness focus in pistol shoes is just a function of the ISSF feeling that they needed to measure something more in pistoll shooting and they had the gauge for rifle (which does make a difference because they have support at the ankles).

I have Corami's and they are fine to walk in, that said if its outdoors i'd take something else just in case it rains, inusually have crocs which slip on and off quick, but if it's dry it's not necessary.

I have never tried Corami but I own and use the new Sauer Easy Flex pistol shoes.
Walking 25m back and forth is not a problem but I would not define walking with them as comfortable.
Also although the sole in the Easy Flex bends where you see the blue plastic insert I avoid using that feature too much and prefer to do the "duck walk" to maintain the flatness of the sole as much as possible.

Shooting shoes for pistol are an interesting point. I'm unconvinced they help to the extent that I no longer use mine (AHG). I also notice a lot of international shooters dont wear them (notably I think the Russians).

That said, if you want some it obviously makes sense to get a pair that fit well and are comfortable. I tried the original Sauer pistol shoes and found them extremely uncomfortable. Coramis have the benefit of the adjustable insoles, but are pricey.
