I'm new to FP shooting, looking for my first free pistol. I found some reasonable deals on used Hammerli 104 and 106 models. Wondering if there are any differences between these two models and what are the pros and cons of each one.

The NRA pistol disassembly book article on the 103 mentions what some of the differences are between the early models:

"The frames of earlier Hammerli free pistols were machined from bar stock, a costly procedure. With the advent of precision investment casting, Hammerli chose this method to produce the frame and some of the internal parts. The Hammerli Models 101, 102, and 103 were replaced in February 1963 by the Models 104 and 105. The new pistols have the same mechanism as former models, but are fitted with improved grips, an adjustable rest for the trigger finger, arid a larger trigger guard."

There is no mention of the differences between the 104 & 106. The printed manual I have shows the exploded diagram and parts list as being identical between the 104 through 107 models.

The one big con would be that any of these are going to be between 40 and 50 years old, and parts, should anything break or wear out are very hard to find now that Hammerli has been sold to Walther.

Parts are basically unobtainable. Hammerli sold all its stock before it moved to Germany. Walther has zero stuff for the old Hammerli pistols. There are one or two people in Switzerland who can be contacted for some parts, but they might as well be made from gold. You want a cheap FP, IMHO, get a TOZ - no current parts, either, but that pistol can be made to run with shoestrings and paperclips.

TOZ, unfortunately, is not cheap at all, it is even more expensive than Hammerli. If anybody knows where can I get a TOZ for ~$800, please let me know :)

egun ist full of them. I just bought one with a Morini grip for 224 Euro.

Oh...I'm in US actually, I'm not sure if I can order a gun from Germany...

Find a dealer there who can handle the export. It's way cheaper than the other way round - getting something out of the country of the free and brave is a very expensive p.i.t.a., but sending it from Europe is no problem, AFAIK.
