Shoulder Issues/Pain

So now that I am one of those seasoned shooters I am experiencing typical joint problems. I have pain in my shoulder. I haven't seen a doctor as yet but thought I would post to get some collective insight from the crew here. Depending on the diagnosis is going under the knife a successful procedure or is physical therapy the way to go. I know, I know I need the diagnosis first but I like being informed before those who 'practice' medicine start giving me the two step.

Just looking for what has worked for others. I'm sure the slamming to the ground in my younger years on my shoulder to field a softball or two was the beginning of some of the issues. Pistol shooting just helped it along.

Ah the stupidity of youth!

You really need to go see a good sports medicine doctor to get a diagnosis. The pain could be from any number of things. I know a pistol shooter who had rotator cuff surgery at age 50 and was able, with proper physical therapy to come back shooting as well as before without pain. Luckily he lived within a couple of miles of one of the country's top arm and shoulder surgeons.

As mentioned above, you need to see a specialist. It could be one of a hundred different things.
