From Ye Olde Pellet Tester

Pulled this off an old post. Damn, I love that last sentence!

"it's a nice feeling to know that your gun/pellet combination shoots a tight one-hole group, and the effort of testing for peace of mind could be considered time well spent, if only from a self-confidence point of view. But you should never have the illusion that it will make a noticeable difference to your scores."

Read it and weep:

I hope you guys realize that this is only a setup to push RWS Basic pellets on you. Heh, heh, heh.

One more little tidbit.... The 162EI is tested with Finale Match 4.49 mm light (pistol) pellets that weigh .49 Grams. (According to Morini.)

Hmmmm. Mine was tested with 4.50 (several years ago).

I guess you'll just have to trash all your pellets andreconsider your choice of AP.

Hi Rover,
And while they are testing pellets we'll have a beer! (You know what I'm talking about :-))

Thanks, but I've just had several (Pilsner Urquell; available reasonably cheaply at my local Total Wine and Beer).

When I was in Prague, they laughed at this choice and recommended Staropraven (both from Prague). After multiple tastings I stuck with the P.U. BTW They make Stella Artois (of which I consume mass quantities) in Prague, but consider it second rate.

They DO make great pellets (JSB) in the C.R. though.

(Although we're getting a little of topic). That the Czechs prefer their local brew doesn't surprise me. After all they invented the 'Pils' (a name that refers to the town of Pilzen). But no matter what it is called the important part is 'Cheers'! :-)

Any topic that gets THIS topic off topic is a good topic - and beer is an even better one :-D

It seems that everyone likes BOTH topics; they keep asking the same damn questions.

I personally prefer beer to pellets, but it's so distressing to know that when someone orders a Bud Light God kills a kitten.
