P70 and 700 Alu stock

I got talking to my buddy about air rifles and he said that it was possible to put a P70 action in a 700 ALU stock. He said that the only thing you may need to change was the barrel support. As much as I trust him, I was pretty skeptical. Is it possible? I dont want to buy a 700 ALU stock to find out that its not possible.

I have a P70 in the wood stock and I want to put it in new stock to give myself the necessary range of adjustments.

I should be the last to respond but..

My daughter upgraded from the 70 to the 700 a couple months ago. The p70 is a great gun but the 700 is better and not just the stock adjustments

I shot a 98 in standing with my P70 the first time i used it. I think the gun is fine
