I made the mistake of buying a 1403 w/ a LH stock and a right hand action. Can I use any "target" to get it back to a RH stock?

Thanks.

Jim,

The RH action in a LH stock was common practice with German target rifles for many years.

From your post I am guessing you want a true right hand rifle, action and stock.

The 1403 was in production from around 1977 to around 1987 and is based on the M-64 action. This is the less common of the two Anschutz smallbore actions. Over the years, the model numbers ending in "03" have been based on this lighter action.

Clearly if you could find a RH 1403 stock it would drop right in. I also suspect that it would drop into either a RH 1803 or 1903 stock but I am not sure, it is just a suspicion.

The action from a 1403 will not drop into any of the stocks intended for the Match 54 action, such as the 1407, 1413, 1807, 1813 etc...

This may be of some help. Your objective was not completely clear.
