Hello,

I recently ordered and received a centra cheek piece for my air rifle and was wondering how you shift it laterally. I've tried loosening the 2 screws on the side and turning the wheel but nothing happens. Unfortunately, i did not receive a manual or anything with the cheek piece so i really don't know what im messing with and don't want to run the risk of either losing or breaking something.

thanks!

It sounds as though something is not right. On mine turning the knurled screw anticlockwise causes the cheekpiece to traverse to the left.

However, there is a fair bit of slack in the system and it takes about two turns before I see something happening.

The two grubscrews on the left-hand side change the tension on the traversing mechanism. Tighten them up and you will lock the movement, loosen them too far and it can move when you apply cheek pressure.

Another shooter here in Melbourne told me he had his rebuilt to eliminate the slack and make it more positive. I get by with mine as I don't change it often.

See the image below where the two grubscrews are identified as "hex nuts". Loosen them to be able to turn the central knurled screw and tighten them to lock said screw.
It is a real pity an expensive accessory like this comes without any information leaflet or instruction manual.
