Shoes with differently slanted insoles

Hi all,
I heard of somebody using different insoles in his left and right shoe to give one foot a slanting to the front, the other to the back for more stability.
Of course the individual shooter should use whatever fits him best, but I am curious. Has anyone heard of this left/right slanting yet? Shoes for pistol shooting are usually flat although I personally prefer slightly elevated heels.

Never heard of it and can't really see the point. I prefer a position that is as close as possible to normal to avoid back and joint problems. If you like raised heels then sauers are or were good for that - I found them horribly uncomfortable and went for flat shoes.

Cormi's fit kit comes with insole shims and wedges that can be placed under the heel. I tired them didn't care for them and just use the standard insoles. The best thing would be for you to try it, get some 3mm leather trace the shape of your insoles then taper the leather to the desired wedge shape and place under your insole and try it for a while. I agree with Rob be careful and pay attention that it's not causing knee or back discomfort.
