Hi,

My LP10 has developed a fault, and I hope someone can shed some light on the cause.

It does not seem to fire a full load of air, whereby the pellet only makes it 3/4 the way up the barrel.

The cocking arm also doesnt stay fully down, and enters dryfire mode.

When you put the arm fully down for live fire, the arm rebounds a few millimetres.

Any thoughts???

It would seem the barrel wasn't installed tight enough against the bolt face.

Actually, Steyr is your friend for producing and releasing those videos. FWIW, I just stumbled on them about a month ago and learned that my recoil absorber was out of adjustment (not enough spring tension). Noticeably less (non-existent on properly executed shots) muzzle flip/recoil.

Thanks guys. My main concern is the gun is being used this coming Saturday for a Nationals competition by my 13 year old daughter.

I didnt want her to miss out.

Being in Australia also makes it hard for Pilk to help, but I have heard they are great.

I found out the cause of the problem this morning. Little miss didnt screw her cylinder on quite firm enough so her first shot didnt leave the barrel. Then she fired "several" more.

All fixed now and it doesnt look like any damage was done. Older sister grabbed the gun and still formed 5 cent piece groups with it. Followed by, oh I hate your trigger.....this grip is uncomfortable...your sights are too wide...etc etc

Didnt impress younger sister who is still developing her skills.

Just for safety, check that the O ring on the cylinder mount is not damaged and that there is no air leak. Leave the cylinder mounted on the pistol for a day or so, the pressure shouldn't drop at all.
