In light of their .22 pistol compensator...Ti600
would this help with 10m air rifles ?
I wonder...

This is a target forum and such devices are not permitted on target air rifles.

Oh ! wasnt sure about ISSF rules on 10m guns...hence I asked.
PS: why are the same type compensators allowed on the .22 pistols in comps ? different rules ?
Thanks for the educating tips.

What exactly would be the benefit even if this device was legal? What would you be "compensating"?
The name was funny to me. Was is meant for the device or for the buyer? I'm just saying......

Ok, call it an air stripper, not compensator as in muffler (though I imagine It brings the sound level down, even if no baffles, and yes, I know silencers are illegal in US & Canada & require a FFL); hence I asked whether It would 'help' 10m shooters, etc...
I imagine air is 'stripped' as the pellet exits the barrel, and the air flow behind is channeled out...
Is this a gimmick ? dunno...am no mechanical engineer, or ballistic expert
But see this for .22 pistols ...see my point now ? wouldnt the same physics principles apply to an air gun projectile ?
Any expert/guru , I welcome their comments..
Nb: Irosa calls it a Compensator...what do the shooting fraternity call it ??? see their explanation...marketing hype ?

Yes.
They are allowed on 10m and 50m pistols but banned on 25m pistols under ISSF rule/table 8.9.
They are banned for all rifles by the first sentance of ISSF rule 7.4.1.2:-
"Barrels and extension tubes must not be perforated in any way."
