Walther Barrel Size

Post by rstriano »

Does anyone have an educated guyess as to what size the barrel is on a 1975 Walther GSP 32 caliber?

I hear so much about barrle size i just wondered before i start searching as to what bullet size would be best.

Thanks

Barrel Size

Post by fc60 »

Greetings,

Most Walther barrels I have measured gauge out at 0.314".

Slug the barrel with a pure lead bullet and measure it with an accurate micrometer, not dial or digital calipers.

Alternately, take the barrel to a Precision Machine Shop and ask if they have either an Intrimik or Holchek three legged internal micrometer. Since Walther uses six groove barrels, the measuring legs will fit between the lands to accurately measure the bore.

Cheers,

Dave
