I did not see a member introduction form so I am posting in the area of my interest. Small Bore Shooting.

Well were to start, I am a member of the USAF (United States Air Force) and I have been into shooting since my dad bought me my first rifle when i was 11.

When i was in Wichita KS at McConnell AFB i just happened to go to a gun show were i saw some really nice looking rifles and it was here my hobby/obsession took off, I quickly got into rim-fire bench-rest shooting I went from Savage to my First Anschutz 1451 well as luck would have it I soon got myself orders to California and when i got here I soon discovered that there was no local rim-fire bench-rest leagues well after a few week's I went to my local rod and gun club were i found the Dewar rifle match, and as it turn's out I am good at this. I recently switched to Iron sights and i can still shoot just as well averaging around 380-390..

I decided to expand my shooting career and i have become very serious, and did more research as it turns out there is a club that is a training center for USA Shooting with matches every weekend.

I Have read Rifle: Steps to Success, Rifleman's Guide to Rim-fire Ammunition, and i am working on with winning in mind.

I am well on the right track and have finally found a deal on a rifle that will take me to the first stage of my goals it's the Anschuts Match 54 with a 1907 Stock used and for a 1000 it's going to be the second most expensive rifle in my collection I had to order sight for her but no matter I needed a reason to purchase sight's with adjustable iris anyways.

O just if you are wondering the first stage of my goal is making the Air Fore Shooting Team. And I Also happened to meet one of the members.

Thats my introduction Maby I will meet some of you guys at the California state match at the end of this month.

I would also recommend you pick up the book Ways of the Rifle, especially if you're doing smallbore.

Any reason you are going small bore instead of nra service rifle?
