Hi my first posting.
Must say this site is full of information i think its fantastic for me as ive just taken up pistol shooting.
Just bought a second hand Styer lg10, what an increadable weapon.
My question is this
Im making a 10 metre range in the garden.
Ive made a silent pellet catcher.
Now to marking out the 10 metres, if i measure back from the target 10 metres and erect a barrier, when i stand behind the barrier and take aim at the target my arm and pistol will be over the barrier ie 9 metres from the target.
Is this correct or has the end of the barrel got to be 10 metres from the target ie im stood 11 metres from the target.
Hope this doesnt seem a silly question but i want to get it right.

Any other usefull information would be appreciated.

The 10 metres is from the target face to a line which you must not cross with your feet, the target height is 1.4 mts.

Yes, those shooters with longer arms might have a slight distance advantage, however longer arms can mean more wobble at the muzzle, so normally one cancels out the other.
Have fun and enjoy the pistol, which when you get used to it will always put the pellet in exactly the place that the muzzle was pointing at, at the point in time when the pellet leaves the barrel.
