What is the difference between the Anschutz prone XX11 stocks and position XX13 stocks? Thanks

The fore-end of both stocks are essentially the same.

The differences lie from about the pistol grip back.

The xx11 stock has a semi-adjustable pull length (done with spacers) and in stock form a simple flat rubber butt plate that will only adjust vertically.

The xx13 stock is more or less infinitely adjustable for pull length, accepts the hook butt plate and the butt plate is adjustable vertically, horizontally, for cant, the hook will swing and on more recent models the carrier will rock to set the angle of the plate on the vertical plane.

Both stocks have an adjustable cheek piece (after about 1975 or so)

The barrelled action of the xx13 is set about 3/4 inch further back toward the shooter than the xx11 stock.

While dated and not in common use anymore the xx11 stock is really only suited for prone and will not adapt well to the modern prone positions you see in the ISSF World Cup Finals. For position shooting while it can be done the xx11 stock makes life very difficult.

The xx13 stock works pretty well for both prone and position.
