howdy,
A nice recycling of an old camcorder.
I use a webcam and a flat screen tv/monitor I got off ebay.

New (Spotting) Scope

Looks like a niece way to give an old movie camera a new life. The cameras I'm familiar with go to "sleep" after a few moments of viewing, probably to conserve battery life (?).
How does your setup overcome this feature?

I started with a security camera, but the running of cables in the basement made the cat upset, so I upgraded to the camera with zoom and side display. Still need to get to the 3D miniature tripod with locking system to make it really user friendly.

Hope it helps improve my scores in some way! They need help lately.

If I put a tape in, it will go dormant after a certain time, but if I don't the camera will stay on, using a battery or direct power.

Or if yours can't do this, use an old tape and record at the slowest speed possible, it should give you at least one hour depending on tape and speed, if you run out of tape just rewind and record over again.
