Mini-Palma

Hello, I was wondering why the NRA dropped the Mini-Palma match. Reading over the rules, this looks to be a very fun, and challenging match. As well as a very historic one, going back to the early days of the old long-range international matches held at Creedmoor. I know the centerfire matches are still going on..but why was rimfire dropped?
