IZH 46M Misfire?

Post by philip_T »

About 1000 shots thru the gun. Well oiled. But every 30 shots or so
it fails to compress air completely. Shot will impact about 6 in. low
at 10 meters and then the next two or three compression strokes
do not produce any compression. That is three seperate tries. The
gun will work normaly again for about 30 shots and then again
have a low compression with two or three tries before compression
is again normal. Is the problem with the main compression chamber,
or the valve?

sounds like there might be grease or something stuck in the valve. Take off the piston and clean from the inside.
