What are good spotting scope parameters (magnification & lens diameter, length, width, weight) to use with shooting 50' targets with .22 caliber and up? Thanks in advance.

Just about anything you come up with will work at 50 foot. If that is all you are going to use it for get something small so it will fit in your gun box.

I shoot NRA Light Rifle at 50 feet and don't need a spotting scope. The rifle scope at 12x works fine. If I follow through properly I will watch the hole open up in the target. For pistol at 50 feet I use a cheap Burris 20x50 fixed power even though I have a big KOWA TSN-1. The little Burris is just more convenient and doesn't get in the way.
So, you can use just about anything.
