I bought fwb p44 two days ago. and I like it.
but there was senior shooter told me that I shouldn't dry fire to often. he said I could broke the trigger. even actually I still dry fire a lot, but I'm a bit scared

If I dry fire 1,5 hour each day and we assumes 1 minute for 1 dry fire, means I do 90 dry fire each day...one week means 630 times....and a month should be 2520 times.

well, I just wonder was that true

and about grip, my hand is quite small. I think I need XS or S grip. was all morini grip will fit in p44? and anyone know how to get it?

I don't own a FWB P44, but i do have a FWB P34 and a 103, and i have dry fired (dry firing mode on) my pistols thousands of times with no problems at all.

You could directly contact Feinwerkbau or Morini for a xs grip.

You can certainly dry fire it. From the FWB P44 manual the right procedure for dry firing is to a) Cock the pistol (open the flap). b) Press the catch bolt (6) to the left to "dry-firing" position until the catch bolt engages positively ("S" is visible). c) Close the flap. d) Operate the trigger. Old spring pistons like FWB-65 didnt have dry fire ability and some times firing them without a pellet resulted broken springs. Most if not all CO2/PCP competition pistols have some sort of dryfiring switch so i dont think you should worry about breaking trigger.

I have a FWB P44 and have dry fired many thousands of times with no problems.

I also have a small hand and have installed Rink size small grips. I prefer the Rink grips to Morini, but it may be different for you.

what is actually difference between rink and morini grip? (before I buy it)
was the price is same?
I was advised to use morini grip, but I don't really know

The most important difference is that one might fit you better than the other.

It is impossible to say which. Even two of the same size grips from the same manufacturer might not fit you the same.

That probably doesn't help you much, but I'm afraid that buying grips at long distance is purely a matter of luck.

Even if the grip is made specially to suit your hand there is no guarantee, unless you are actually with the grip manufacturer when he is making it, that it will give you naturally aligned sights.

Judith, I agree with David's comments. If you have a local company that carries grips for your P44, I suggest you go there and try different sizes until you find one that fits best.

Here in the U.S. obtaining a grip that fits properly is not easy - we have few custom fitters. After gaining some experience and understanding of what it means to have a properly fitting grip, I fitted my own. There have been several articles on how to do this - try searching Target Talk. I have a recent article on this subject by Daryl Szarenski that I will try to upload.

The two posts above are right on the money.

Learn to putty and file until you get your present grip to fit perfectly. Don't bother trying to buy a good fit long distance.

BTW 1.5 hours dry fire each day....I admire your dedication.

I live in Indonesia and as far as I know no one made grip for p44. and all small sized grip is sold out. (that's why I prefer to order it online)

I use standard morini grip now, although it's size is M (really big for me)
so I did this...(sorry my english skill is bad, i don't know how to say it)


I think this enough for now, but sooner or later I need grip that fit
