Quick question about NRA International Rules

Post by TraLfaz »

My son is going to be shooting his first "official" match in two weeks so I guess that this questions isn't necessarily about the rules, but about the different classes that the kids shoot in. The majority of awards I understand, except for these:

High Jr.

High I-Jr

High Sub Jr.

Any help understanding this will be appreciated.

Thanks

There are different age categories for juniors:

SJ - Sub-Junior - 14 and under
IJ - Intermediate Junior - 15-17
JR - Junior - 18-21

The High awards for these are the top juniors in each category. Though you should know, most open matches don't give awards for every one of these categories. Often all the juniors are combined for simply a High Junior Award.

Tell your son good luck from all of us.

Thanks for the answer Soupy! I guess my son will be shooting the Sub Junior category. And I will pass on the good luck to him.
