Virginia Military Institute (VMI), an NCAA Division I and Mid Atlantic Rifle Conference (MAC) member, is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Head Rifle Coach. The selected candidate will be responsible for both the Men’s and Women’s Rifle Programs at VMI. Duties include (but are not limited to) organizing practices, scheduling competitions, purchasing equipment, coordination of team travel, team budget oversight, and other administrative duties. Additionally, the Head Rifle Coach will be responsible for recruiting potential Cadet-Athletes to participate on the VMI Rifle Team. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or significant related experience is required.

Preferred:
NRA Certified Rifle Instructor.
Competitive marksmanship experience (as a competitor or coach) to include shooting club experience or experience working with young people at a Gun club level.
Prior military experience.
Knowledge and understanding of applicable NCAA Division I competitive rules and regulations.
High powered rifle experience.
Experience in an academic environment.
