Anybody know details as to when the Great Britain team will shoot this smallbore rifle match? Any links to information?

Ask the NSRA as they administer the GB side of the match.

EDIT: According to this, the match is shot in June each year.

To qualify for participation in the selection shoot, you must:

- Place in the Top 40 of X- or A-class at the previous year's Bisley Rifle Meeting (in August).
- Place in the Top 3 of X- or A-class at the Scottish Rifle Meeting (each July), and not have shot at Bisley (i.e. performance at Bisley takes precedence if you shoot both).
- Rank highly in a postal trial held in the spring.

I've been on the team four times, and as the guy who shot the #2 score on this year's squad, I can tell you that we shot a pretty good team score overall. We had really beautiful conditions, that's for sure. So good, that I can't imagine that we could have posted another 51 points if we'd had no wind at all. The bigger issue is the backlighting at 0700 hours. In any case, that's fine shooting by the Brits, under any conditions. Multiple 395+ scores means they were really pounding them in there. Congrats to them for fine shooting.

Not according to the NSRA:
Although occasional adjustments may be made to the arrangements, qualifiers for the trial are normally:

the leading 40 shooters in Classes X and A in the Bisley Rifle Meeting Championship Aggregate of the previous year;
Although it is ambiguous. Top 40 shooters overall from those two classes; top 20 shooters from each; top 40 from each? I'm guessing the first option (i.e. the top 40 scores overall from X and A class combined)? Someone else can perhaps enlighten.

My take on it was the top 20 in X and top 20 in A. I know someone who shoots in X and his plan was to finish in the top 20 to qualify for the Dewar.
Would have liked it to be the top 40 as I would have qualified in A but missed out at 26.
