Steyr LP10E barrel weights question

Howdy,
I've had my Steyr LP10E for about a month now (shameless promo, got it from Pilkington, Thanks Rhonda.), and my scores at the range have gone up 10 points to 550 in just a couple of cans of pellets so far. I expect them to continue to go up, due to the confidence I have in this pistol. I had been using a Baikal IZH46M, I shot about 15000 pellets with it and had a 540 average, after beginning to shoot nov 2009.
However, I am wondering why and how I use the barrel weights.
thanks, drive carefully.

You should use them in the correct quantity and position that makes the gun feel best for you (weight and balance).

This could be any combination ranging from "none" to "all as close together in a certain area".

It is a very personal thing. Whilst people might make suggestions based on watching you (or your Scatt/Rika/Noptel/etc trace) only you can know which combination you are happiest with.

You'll find (with your experimenting as was just recommended) that a little extra weight on the barrel dampens some of the wobble/shake you'll see.

It does come at the cost of adding weight to your pistol, which will cause more/faster overall muscle fatigue, but that effect is unique to everyone and requires experimenting. Balance here is key so just experiment.

Congrats on reaching 540's with the Izzy! I followed a similar path before getting my LP10.
