What relays will be held Sunday?

Post by chuckjordan »

I have an airrifle (FT) match Saturday in MD and can't make Saturday.
What relays (openings?) will you have Sunday (Mens)?

Besides these matches, to you hold regular matches in Richmond? I'm in Richmond now. I emailed you last Sunday and you must be quite busy.

Apology

Post by PETE S »

Chuck, there was a very slight typographic error in Owen's email address in the original posting. and extra space that created the problem you had with getting a response to your email.

Owen runs many junior programs and organizes many different shooting activities in Virginia, far more than I can keep up with.

I (Peter S) am holding regular international pistol matches west of Richmond.

the typo was corrected and the email address above should be correct.

We would be glad to have you on Sunday! Would the 11:00 AM relay fit your schedule?

11am is fine

Post by chuckjordan »

Owen,

Yes, 11am would be great.

Thank you for allowing this shooter to compete.

Chuck

I've said this before; a bad day on the range is better than a good day in the office.

Good match, met some good people

Post by chuckjordan »

Owen,

Thank you for conducting the match. It was a good learning experience.

Pete, could you let me know if there are any leagues in Richmond? When you say West of Richmond, how far are you taking (minutes or hours away)?

I'm intested if you put me on your list: chuckjordan<at>hotmail<dot>com

Thanks
Chuck

Pete how did you get those medals from USAS? They look great and I'm interested in getting some for my matches in the future.

USAS supplies these medals for Zone matches, so one must apply to hold a Zone match and then everyone pays a higher per capita fee to USAS. And Yes, the medals are quite nice. the information is available at the USAS website:

http://www.usashooting.com/hosting.php

The program is a bit different than a PTO and only one Zone match each year for each zone.

Zone 2 covers DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA

Leagues in Richmond

Post by Owen »

Chuck
We have two leagues in Richmond. We have a bullseye league that shoots the first and third Tuesday evening at 5:45 at the Richmond Police Academy. The contact would be Ray Pope pope@umw.edu . We shoot .22 only, three 30 shot matches each evening.
The second is an air rifle and pistol league that shoots at Lakesdie Moose Family Center, the same location where you fired the zone match yesterday. Contact Owen.Peters@comcast.net . We are part of a statewide league. We haven't set our schedule yet for the 2010-2011 yet but I will keep you posted.
Pete holds the powder burning matches at Cavalier Rifle and Pistol Club on the second Saturday of the month. I believe he takes a break during the coldest months. His contact is cavalierip@hotmail.com . Cavalier is located approximatly 26 miles norhwest of Richmond in the Montpelier area.
