Adapting Late Walther GSP grips to early frame

Post by RB6 »

Does anyone know if later model Walther GSP grips with center bolt attachment can be adapted to early frames that attach by screws at the top of the grip?

New Grip - Old Frame

Post by fc60 »

Greetings,

We have an older Walther GSP, pre serial #105000, and we have added the new grip with the single screw that goes through the bottom.

What you need, in addition, to a new grip is the small metal adapter that slips into the notch in the bottom of the frame. The end of the adapter is threaded for the grip screw.

Contact Earl's or Champions Choice and I am sure they will be able to supply you the needed part.

Cheers,

Dave Wilson

You have probably get answer on you question allready.
But I did just do the same. I have the old GSP year model 1986. I have bought the new GSP Expert grip in Blue natural laminat. It fits with no problem.
