Gamo Oil..Is it safe on SSPs piston

My previous topic got very much off topic so I post once again.
Is gamo oil bought in the air gun section of Gander or Bass safe to use in a SSP IZZY?
One replier said no it is not, it is only for exterior use. Then the repiles got on to the merits of Pellgun oil on PCP and mutltiple SP airguns.
So therefore I post again on the Gamo oil. I have totally de-oiled my IZZY as best possible in the piston chamber. so I await the replies about GAMO OIL before I reassemble.

Simple: no petroleum oil in chamber. Use silicon oil.
If the gun didn't diesel during the cocking stroke you're probably OK. If it did, repair the gun.

Which means that the GAMO lube that you are currently using is petroleum based...
That is the reason why it is not good for the compression area because it can cause detonation or deterioration of the piston seal.
The crossman Pellgun oil is a special blend of silicon and other oils that protect the seals:.)

The Izzy never diseled. It just lost compression after a few minutes if I was interupted after charging and loading. The piston seal were at least 10 years old. I have a new seal to compare and there are a few hundredths of an inch diffetence in the outside diameter between the old seal and the new seal.
I am writing to Gamo to get the info about Gamo Oil.

This is what I sent to GAMO and their reply so ....
Question/Comment: Question: Is the oil in the Gamo oil petroleum based or is it silicon based? I have been getting advice to NEVER use Gamo oil in ANY airgun if you want the seals to last. That the oil is petroleum based and it WILL EAT seals. Especially in single stroke pneumatic guns like the Gamo compact, IZH 46 etc.PLEASE answer this question. Persons more knowledgeable than I with air guns are telling me this.
REply from GAMO
Stephen,
One drop of oil per month in piston chamber. Gamo gun oil is recommended, but not a requirement. Always use a light-weight, non-silicone based gun oil.
So now I am even more confused
I have cleaned out the piston chamber, the piston seal, will blow out with air the any more remaining GAMO oil.

Your damn O-ring is at least 10 years old. Put in a new one.
Get some Beeman or Crosman oil. The one drop a month will help keep up your compression and blows out on firing. Gamo MAY be OK. I don't know.
If that doesn't do it, you may have some fung in the valve. Before reassembly clean it with solvent.

The piston seal on my FWB 103 is over 10 years old, never had an o-ring changed, and it sill is shooting perfectly!!!
The only oil and lubricant that i put into it is Pellgun oil and clear Molykote grease.

A new piston seal is in the SSP Izzy now. All oil is removed, wiped, de greased, and blown out with canned air (limited use).
Will get the Crosman Silicone Chamber Oil from Pyramid site even though the tube says.."For Crosman Spring Air Guns"
I gather this will fit the non petroleum oil use. YES??? NO???
Pyramid also sells Gamo oil..with this interesting NOTE >>>>DO NOT USE IN SPRING PISTON CHAMBER.

Do not use silicon oil in compression tubes as it has no lubricant properties. It is only good for around the external seals, ie. breach seal. Silicon oil was designed for the old leather seals that spring piston airguns used to use. Use 30 weight Non-detergent motor oil. It will not cause detenation. link for pellgun oil MSDS,

What he said... 30W ND Motor Oil... I use "Air Tool oil" which is the same thing marketed differently. Your izzy will never diesel. To answer the question more directly, the Gamo oil is most probably the same thing - so, yes.
