sharing pistol, different hand sizes

I am considering to buy a Steyr LP50E, primarily for my own training and competitions, but also to introduce my son (9) to pistol shooting.

Would there be any point in buying an extra grip, small size for him? Is it quick and simple to swap grips on the LP50E?
Will a grip swap require sight adjustment?

Would I perhaps be better off buying him his own pistol to start with, instead of sharing mine? If the latter is recommended, which pistol should I look for that would be a good start for him?

If the point is to introduce him to pistol shooting, the cheapest option would be a spare grip.
However, the sights will likely be different, as he progresses. Also, the weight and feel that works for you might not work for him.
In the longer run, you might be better off giving him his own air pistol so that the grip, sights and gun fit him.

Don't forget the LP50e has the electronics module built into the grip, so a swap would be a fair bit more fiddly than a standard LP50 (or 10).

I'd be inclined to get him something of his own - maybe an LP2 (compact) for example ?

Good points, thank you, both of you. I can save the money on a spare grip and perhaps start looking for a used LP2 compact instead, if he still think it is fun after some time.

Another used option is a used LP1, great gun many like the trigger on that over the LP10 and they can be had for a reasonable price.

a used LP1
Thank you for that. That gives me more to choose from. My initial search indicates that for LP2's, there are not exactly 13 to a dozen out there for sale.
