The ISSF have issued a statement regarding rifle clothing

Like how they try to compare themselves with FINA. One difference FINA didn't make old style bathing suits illegal and require all swimmers all over the world to purchase new swing trunks for thousands of dollars.

FINA approves specific suits from various manufactures. It doesn't seem to be done on a whim.
