How do you disassemble and assemble the fx hand pump?

I have an older version of the FX hand pump (the top handle has a brass screw and the bottom has one also). The inner tube was getting pretty
dirty, so i decided to clean it out and add Molykote to lubricate.

To my surprise with continous use, the pump no longer can pressurize air.
I later read some articles on the internet and found out that the original 'black grease' of the pump should never be wipped off.

Can anyone recommend or have the know-how on how to properly disassemble and change the internal o-rings on the pump?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I believe it's best if you contact the manufacturer:

The people at fx do not like to respond in helping me fix the pump.
Had mailed them three times already...

I did not get the information needed to fix my older FX pump,
but i did get the exploded diagrams for my newer 3 stage FX pump from the
nice folks of Gehmann in Germany. (The Gehmann pump is the same as the fx pump, only with their name on it.)

Don't even bother contacting FX, they will not help you out!

If anyone needs the exploded diagram of the 3 stage fx pump, please leave
me a PM to my username kevinweiho or e-mail me at kevinweiho@yahoo.es

Kent, thank you for your help.

Your exploded diagram was the same one that Gehmann sent me.

If possible, can you supply me with the exploded diagram for the older
version of the FX pump, (the one that has the bleeder brass screw on the top handle and a small screw on the bottom that holds the outer tube together.)

Did you ever diassemble and assemble the pump, and was it an easy task?

The pump is made here in Sweden so I only sent my for repair.
The second time it broke down I bought a new FX pump.

Response from FX company in sweden...

The guys at FX gave me a response a couple of days ago,( a man by the name of Andreas) but i don't know if i should cry or laugh, cause this was their answer to my problem:

"If you want you can call Fredrik on +46 709528409,
it is he who constructed the pump you refer to."

At that moment, i asked myself: Why on earth should i call Fredrik in Sweden, if all that i ever wanted was an exploded diagram for the older pump? To my surprise Andreas explained that the FX factory DID NOT even have the diagram for this particular pump!

How did they build this pump then?

My bottom line is that FX makes great guns, but their customer support sure is lousy and not helpful at all.

Dear "Reinhamre":

First of all, Andreas told me that 'Fredrik' is a person that does not like to write or e-mail.

What would i accomplish if i call him directly?

Be in my position, and answer these questions:

1- How would you feel if FX took more than a week to answer you?

2- How is it possible that FX, THE MANUFACTURER, DOES NOT HAVE the exploded diagram for the older pump?

3- Is it easier to talk over the phone than a detailed diagram and instructions for diassembly and assembly of the pump?

If you could reasonably answer these questions, i will retract and apologize for what i said on FX customer support.
