FWB 80 with insufficient elevation adjustment

I have a FWB 80 with the rear sight bottomed out and the gun is still shooting high while using a 6-o'clock hold. Are extra high front sight inserts available for this pistol and if so where might they be obtained? Note: the main spring and breach seal were just replaced but this problem existed even before this work.

It sounds like the upper receiver is dragging on the recoil rails, causing the muzzle to rise before the pellet exits the barrel (unless the recoil clamp is actually screwed in place on the front of the lower receiver.) You can check by loading a pellet, and with your off hand helping the upper receiver stay to the rear, discharge the pellet in a safe direction. With the receiver to the rear, slowly move the upper back and forth a few millimeters (5 or 6) to see if you can feel any friction. If the receiver moves too far forward to the point it catches, you will need to re-set up the upper to the rear condition. The movement of the upper on the rails should be glassy smooth, with no discernible friction.
Barring that, High Front sights can be found at ISS, in Fort Worth. I think our host might still have them as well.
Good Luck,

toznerd, you nailed the problem right on. Once, I took the gun apart and lubricated the rails the elevation problem went away and the gun's accuracy greatly improved. Thanks.
