It felt natural shooting sitting down.

Is it a good way to train shooting 10M pistol sitting down?

Not really.

You're using different muscles and muscle groups, plus you want to train as you really shoot. The only exception could be for youngsters learning to shoot who aren't yet strong enough to hold a gun safely / easily.

Perhaps you should explore silhouette shooting, then you can shoot lying down :)

Only if your training to sit shooting down.

10m AP is shot seated for in disabled comps.

I definitely wouldn't suggest it a a routine means of training.

It depends.

Training for perfecting the trigger manipulation without disturbing sights can easily be done seated, arm supported.

This will help you focus on the "holy trinity" of trigger, grip, and sights.

I train dry fire seated (arm supported) against a neutral background- and with distraction bull- about 5-6 times a week.

Yes, absolutely. There's no reason to let other issues to interfere with perfecting trigger technique. Steve is right again. I find myself agreeing with him more often these days, must be gettin' a bit daft.

Actually shooting from a proper rest in your proper position is better than shooting in a sitting position. It allows your all those benefits that Steve speaks of yet you are still in the proper position. When seated your head wont be in the proper position.

Yes and No. At least you are training, Steves point is good, he could be right. I dont have the time to waste training that way ( if its doing YOU some good its not a waste)when I know of proven training methods I could be using. IF it works for you DO IT! see no results stop.
