Kustermann vs. Thune

I'm looking for a new jacket. I am using the TL2 from Kurt Thune right now and am outgrowing it. I am shooting mid 570's 3P with low 180's standing smallbore and low 580's air. I wanted a jacket that was in the Expert, fusion range of jackets but am not looking for a custom coat because by the time it gets in I will probably only have 6 months in it. I've come down to either the off the rack expert from thune or the off the rack Kustermann Monaco Fusion.

anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

i've owned the thune custom suit for about 6 months. 6 months ago i was about where you are with the scores and now i'm around 1165 at 50m, 585 indoors on the usa target, and 590 air. the only things i've changed since then were A. my training regimen, and B. the suit.

what are you using for pants? if those don't fit right you won't be getting that good base you need.

i always jump in when this topic comes up, because when that suit came in the mail and i put it on and got in position something magic happened. the suit said to me i've been doing everything wrong, and this is the correct way.

in terms of standard sizes, i don't really know. the two jackets are probably very similar, and if you are of normal proportions you could get a good fit for a good price. how did you like the TL2?

are you a college shooter? the latest you'd get the custom jacket is by december, before all the matches that really matter.
you are certainly shooting high enough scores to warrant it.

note: matt emmons is currently using the kustermann suit, so there's gotta be something to that one too...

I don't mind the TL2, the only problem is that the arms and the jacket itself are too short, that is why I am looking for a new one. I'm not in college, but I would like to have it broken in by 3X air while shooting 3 times a week at an average of 2 hours everytime I shoot (not counting practicing positions). The reason I am looking for a higher end jacket is because the only position I have problems in or at least behind most people is in offhand. I think the stiffer coat will help this problem.

I am not looking for a custom coat because i will grow and it wont fit like i would like it to 3 months after getting it in.

Thanks

What is with your current jacket that it hinders your offhand? Maybe it's not the jacket??

its that the jacket and the arms are too short and from what I've heard with the scores I'm shooting now it should be about time to get a custom suit to help my scores.

btw. I have decided to go custom, for the little extra money I can get a more fit jacket that would probably help me more as far as scores go.

Thanks
