Looking at the nbcolympics.com pentathalon shooting score. Top shooters score 10/9's and C's.

What are those C's?

I don't know but could be 'centre' as in inner 10 ?

'C' = Central 10

2.14.2 In the event of a tie for the first place, the tie will be broken by:
i) the total number of central 10s;
ii) the highest number of 10's, 9’s etc. in the complete course.
