Fundamental hold the pistol as still as you can. apply pressure to the trigger causing the pistol to fire without distrubing stillness or sight allignment, Allign the sights Technique is how the shooter accomplishes the fundamentals, Wow that seems imposible to accomplish with in the word limitation. A fundamental is an essential component of a system that, without it, the system fails or the structure falls.
Technique is how the fundamentals are applied to a specific set of circumstances.

Seriously, sight alignment and trigger control. Both are the result of technique (dictionary>>>the manner and ability with which an artist, writer, dancer, athlete, or the like employs the technical skills of a particular art or field of endeavor.)
