own a izh1 baikal free pistol would like to get hold of a manual for it. Any information on the free pistol would be helpfull as well.

There used to be a drawing in the 10-P files page of our hosts webpage. It is no longer there. The trigger adjustments are sill there if that helps. I'll see if I can track down the original technical drawing.

That is the drawing that I have. I have always been intrigued by the Izh-1. It looks like it uses a linear striker, unlike the pivoting hammer found on the Hammerli Free Pistols of the same era. An interesting design, and definately a springboard into the ubiquitous TO3-35.

I would love to see pictures of your gun, agardener69, if you had a chance to post them.
