Shooting FP in the UK

Post by edster99 »

Hi all

I really fancy having a go with FP in this country with a Morini or Pardini 'Long Arm'. However, they aren't cheap(!) and if there's no competitions to enter, I won't be able to justify the expenditure just for my own enjoyment ! Any info on whats available would be great

cheers

Ed

I'm surprised you didn't ask this on the Stirton Forum in the UK.

There are the normal open meetings including the BPC January and June Opens, the ESSU (this weekend), the ATSC Open (next weekend), the British Pistol Championships. There are also quite a few others.

Thanks for that, I hadn't thought of that forum as a place to ask... but I will!

As David said there are plenty of competitions for free pistols in the UK, but you probably have to travel around to shoot them. Most are at Bisley but there are others spread around the UK, although some are at reduced distances (i.e 25M, instead of 50M).
