Best training ammo

Hello,

I just purchased a new FWB 2700 in order to move the first steps in the 50 mt discipline.
For the moment I'm only concentrating in standing position (I had the last 6 month training on air rifle) therefore I'm still battling with the inner position.
For this reason I believe that getting specialist match ammo is useless at this time but I can't really make a choice about the most suitable ammo for my purposes.
Which one for you is the best (in terms of consistency) that does not dig in your wallet?

Thanks a lot

Enrico, your rifle will have to tell you. Get a box or two of each lot of available ammo that you think is priced appropriately and test them for group size. Find an ammo and lot that pleases you and buy all of that lot that you can afford.

With that said, Eley Club EPS shoots amazingly well, if you lot test you might find a lot that shoots as good as Black or Tenex at a much lower price.

SK Standard Plus and Wolf Match Target are good too and might meet your needs and I think this should be the cheapest ammo that might meet your needs albiet you might get a low shot due to improper powder charge from time to time. Not a big deal during practice.

My 2700 seems to like most target ammunition I feed it. I use Eley practice and Lapua Superclub for practice and then for matches I use Eley match EPS - it shoots this stuff deadly well!

Thank you very much for your kind replies, I'll get few boxes of the ammo you were mentioning and give them a try!

Again thanks a lot

For the price, SK and Wolf are very tough to beat for practice ammo.
