has anyone used the optional muzzle compensator on their Morini CM84E and what would the pros and cons be to using this instead of the standard issue?

Mine came with the compensator in the box, so I put it on after a few outings. The first thing you notice is how quiet it makes the gun. I know some people have complained about lead fouling, but I have had no trouble. There is very little muzzle flip, so it may be easier to call your shots.

i have just found out there are two different compensators available a new and longer version, this would put the front sight a long way out there and would make it difficult to line up hence would cause you to hold over too long before letting the shot off would it not?

Put a fatter front sight on it, and open up the rear sights to "barn door" width.

Which is what I did anyway on my standard non-compensator "bloop tube!"

On top of my compensator there are three different mounting holes for the front sight, so you can pick your sight spacing.
I've never played with the spacing, but I do know that the gun is less "forgiving" than some of the Toz's that I have tried. I find it rather easy to yank a shot out of the black :-)
