I guess I am a dinosaur - anyone on the list recall a Phelps Case Feeder?

It resembled a large plastic funnel with a lining that attached through the bottom to a plastic tube... when on rocked the devise with cartridges in the upper liner, they would fall down the tube base-first. You could then use the tube to supply cases to a a Hulme mechanical case feeder (I still have one) on the Star press to feed the Star and roll right along.

I think the Phelps would easily adapt to the Dillon 650 in place of the very expensive electrical one they sell.

Are you thinking of the "Freeloader"? If yes, I thought there was a person making a similar product for the Star.

If I remember right it was nothing but a large funnel with a clear hard plastic tube that fit in the Hume Casefeeder. There was bracket with a elongated slot that mounted on the spring arm on the Star Press. As you loaded ammo it would allow the funnel to move sideways and jiggle the cases in the funnel so they would drop base first to the feeder. You had to watch the clear plastic tube and throw another handfull of cases when you saw a level in the tube. Worked well and it was cheap. Gil Hebard Guns sold them by the gross.
