I'm working up a Toz-35, and am having a problem with the grips.

My hands are broad and thick in the palm, but rather short in the fingers. Which means that the Morini medium grips are VERY tight across the back of the hand. Painfully so. And I can't really get a good grip on the gun with my fingers.

Should I break out the belt sander? Or get grips from someone else? TIA

Mike, Break out the wood rasps and files, not the belt sander!:>) Take some material off from the palm side, and the back of the hand side, until they're comfortable. While you're at it, do the closed eye test to line up the sights, removing material from where needed. (Close your eyes with the gun lowered, raise the gun and look at the sight alignment. With a properly fitting grip, the sights will be lined up without having to adjust your wrist.) Think of the center of the grip as a vertical axis, and rotate the grip until the sights are aligned, by removing wood where needed. You can fill areas that might need building up, with QuickWood, or Bondo, or Morini grip putty.
