Hello,
Does anyone here shoot silhouette (air rifle or smallbore)? If not, why?
I find it to be very enjoyable.
Later,
BR

Would love to shoot this discipline....especially in air pistol, but there do not seem to be any events within reasonable driving distance for me. I live in NE PA.

Hi DIB
Citizens' R & R Club in Princeton Jct
I can't find a web site for them. If you email me I can send dates and directions.
It is the last year for them as Jack who runs the matches is retiring, we at FTRAP are taking over his dates.
I will also email you our program.

Thanks for that info.

Fred, I have been told that Delaware County silhouette matches are not NRA approved, on a reduced course, with less Animals, is that correct?

I have never shot the AR silhouette, so can't speak to that. I have shot their AP silhouette a few times. It consists of four banks of animals, five animals per bank, with the banks placed at approx 10, 12 14 18 yd (can't remember exact distances). I don't know whether the metal targets are approved size or not. Metallic or optical sights allowed. 150 sec time limit. I will ask one of the more knowledgeable shooters next time I am there. A nice change of pace from 10 m AP. I did manage to shoot 18/20 at both matches last year.
