Problem with my 35m

Post by dam8 »

The other day when shooting when chambering a round from a fresh clip, the slide wouldn't go forward all the way. Manually locking forward, All rounds would cycle normally.
Slide is greased, pin and bolt face are clean and brushed. Any thoughts?

Need more info -
This is the top round from a magazine only?
The round is chambered, but the slide requires a push to go into battery?
Is the round under the extractor?
All magazines?

It takes more force to strip & chamber the top round because the mag spring is more compressed. You might check to see if this happens to the top round when only four rounds are loaded in the mag.

Things to try -
Perhaps it's time to replace the recoil spring?
Clean the magazines.
Thoroughly clean the chamber.
