I am about to switch over to the Vogel 0.5 gr pellets. I have about 500 rounds of practice on the 0.52 vogels. I understand i will get a little more velocity, perhaps 20 fps w/ the 0.5's. Would this change my POI at all??? I am asking because i bench tested my LP-50 w/ the 0.52's and sighted it in w/ a rest also. I am wondering if i should do the same w/ the new pellets.

At 10M all that counts is accuracy, not velocity. If .50 is more accurate, then go for it; otherwise, use .52 (or whatever works best).

While the higher velocity of the lighter pellets will theoretically change the point of impact, you probably will not notice unless you are extremely consistent with your shooting. One pellet may very well be more accurate in your particular gun however and will shoot smaller groups.

While using a rest to test the consistency of one pellet type against another type has value, do not rely on the rest for sighting in your rifle. All that matters is how in shoots in your hands. Start carefully making sight adjustments as you shoot. Take notes of your changes, keeping track of lighting, pellets used, adjustments on your gun, etc. so that you know what impact your changes are making.

As already pointed out, use those pellets that are most accurate in your gun while you are shooting it.

Have fun!
