Adding Weights

Post by jrmcdaniel »

My SAM M10 came with a bar and movable weights. It always seemed too heavy and nose-heavy (both) with the supplied parts. I had thought about replacing the bar with an aluminum or wood rod to move the weight to the end of the muzzle and reduce the total weight. I have seen where people use tire weights (sometimes on a film canister) to get weight out at the end of the muzzle.

My solution was (literally) at-hand. I had a roll of solder sitting next to where I shoot in the basement. I took off the air tank from the gun and wrapped two layers (thin solder) of the solder "wire" around the muzzle end of the tank, covered this with plastic tape, and now have a weight completely at the muzzle end.

Best,

Joe
