LP10 Trigger problem

Post by RobertB »

Trying to increase the first stage pressure from 320gms to 370 gms.

Problem. Now have a grating/intermitant resistances in travel through both first and second stage.

Have only touched overtravel, first stage weight and first stage travel screw.
Same problem with little and a lot of overtravel.
First stage length adjustment makes no difference.
Sear feels and releases as normal.
Grating can be felt before and after sear release.
Also with trigger cocked or uncocked.
Even when weight reduced back to 300 gms, problem still there but intermitantly goes away with small turns in screw, but this is erratic and follows no pattern.
Maybe first stage spring is not seated properly, broken, or is to soft/hard.

Not new to adjusting triggers, but without stripping this one, its got me beat.
Anyone struck this before?

Send it to a dealer or pistolsmith who can make repairs. It's hard to diagnos things over the internet when we really don't know what you have done. Just doing what you said you did shouldn't do what you described. So it mught actually have nothing to do with what you did and something else broke at that time.
