Places to shoot Smallbore in the LA Area?

Post by brvirell »

This summer I will be living in Riverside Ca, and am looking for a good place to shoot smallbore rifle. Currently I shoot indoor 50ft at a private range. I would like to find a private range where I can pay a yearly or half year due and go to shoot pritty much whenever I want, I am indifferent as to whether it is an indoor or outdoor range, and wouldn't mind trying 50 meters.
I would also be interested in shooting competitions, I have looked and haven't found any shooting leauges that have weekly competitions or anything of the like.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

You can try

Prado Olympic Shooting Park
17501 Pomona Rincon Rd
Chino, CA 91710

(909) 597-4794

It used to be the shooting venue for the 1984 OG, i.e covered shooting positions & 50-m. Don't know 'bout membership.

One minor draw back: facility can be flooded during the rainy season!

Good luck

Try this
http://www.lafn.org/~larr/

This range will have been in operation for 100 years in July. It's the best smallbore range around by a wide margin. There are matches almost every week.
