WHERE TO FIND RAPID TARGET SPACING @ DIFF. DISTANCES
Where can I find the target spacing requirements for rapid fire at 50 feet, 25 yards, and 25 meters respectively?
Also, is there a "B-XX" designation to a rapid fire target at 25 yards reduced? I can only find the 50 foot and 25 meter targets at Champions Choice in Nashville, TN. Is there another source I should be looking at for targets?
Thanks in advance,

Most of the targets are available from ALCO TARGET CO. except for the Edelman and Kruger targets which are imported from Europe.

Rapid target spacing, target sources...
Sandy,
Thanks for the info.
I had tried the USAS site and ISSF site that seemed to have everything but the spacing.
After reading the ISSF specific and general rules/regulations I had no idea that even the bay dimensions where the shooter stands and the roof (overhead clearance) were so distinctly defined.
Happy Holidays!

Curious. They are so technical every where else. Why not reduce the c-c for 25yds proportionately? I know it is not much, but like I said, they are so particular for other stuff.Sandy wrote:These are the reduced targets for Rapid Fire Pistol:

I wonder if that might be a typo. It would seem 27 in. would be desired. I haven't found any official reference anywhere, though. The targets are referenced, but not the spacing.• 25 M on B-37 (official) - Target Center to Center = 29.5 in.
• 25 yd on B-38 (official) - Target Center to Center = 29.5 in.
Sandy, could you point me to a spacing reference I can use for future review?
I've noticed the USAS has a short message from National Pistol Team Coach Sergey Luzov which references the ability to hold PTOs by acoustic shot timer:
See:Further, USA Shooting General Technical Rule 6.3.17B permits PTOs to be held using acoustic shot timers on stationary targets. Now all a club needs to hold a Rapid Fire match is a place to hang five targets at the correct spacing, a target backer to staple the targets to, an acoustic shot timer, and a half-dozen bullseye shooters who can shoot with their Hammerli 208s or Smith & Wesson Model 41s.

for the full page.
I would have expected the spacing to be referenced in the USAS rules (but not ISSF) since USAS allows for the reduced targets. BTW, National Target
http://www.nationaltarget.com/cgi-bin/m ... ry_Code=IP
has the proper targets shown on their site. I prefer American Target in Denver, CO, who ships for free, but I put together orders for our league and buy 5000 (total) targets or more at a time. They don't have a site (that I know of) but they can send a catalog. Their phone is (303) 733-0433.
Please forgive me if our host has these targets, but I haven't seen them in my limited research - just the full sized.

I run all of our matches at the correct distances and with the official targets so I have not referred to my chart for years.
Looking at the math involved, I think that 27" for the 25yd is probably correct and will change my chart accordingly. I am assuming that perhaps it is a typo.
I am attaching the complete chart of the conversions.
