A little while back a couple of posters provided excellent bibliographies with many fine listings. However, before you start a library please consider the following opinion.

Eventually, you will need only one: Competitive Shooting by A. A. Yur'Yev.

In the meantime, try the Advanced Pistol Guide published by the US Army Marksmanship Unit.

Frankly, after spending a large portion of the last six years (4 in bullseye, 2 in international) "studying up on" how to shoot a ten and then shoot a ten again, I have pretty much decided these are the only two books you will ever need.

O.K., maybe toss in In Pursuit of Excellence by Terry Orlick for the mental side when you start shooting reliably above 93%.

Three books then.

Of course, there are a lot of books that are very good, and very useful (Pistol Shooter's Treasury comes to mind) but these three should form the "core."
