AIR RIFLE TRAINING PROGRAM

What's a good beginner training program for air rifle? I don't have a trainer or someone with enough knowledge on air rifle shooting to guide me in the best direction. I know the best way will be a trainer but we have no trainer around so I have to practice by my own. I've learned the basics but I want to have some kind of programmed training to have a record of my progress.

Thanks in advance for any help.

its up to 105 now....

I guess that means 105 of us are looking for an "AIR RIFLE TRAINING PROGRAM" and were hoping you were providing one, not asking for one :)

get the book, "Ways of the Rifle"

Where are you? are you sure that you can't join a club, or at least visit once in a while to get some pointers?

Hi

If possible, take the NRA Smallbore / Air Rifle coaches course. Here it costs $85.00 and includes most of the NRA books. Especially helpful is the NRA Smallbore / Air Rifle coacning guide. Shows positions, what to do, why to do it that way etc. Our class here in Wichita usually lasts 3 days, Friday night through Sunday night.

Alright now we are up to something, this is the kind of support I was looking for.
Bill Poole: I'll look into that book.
Guest: ???? I'm from the country of Panama, and the only club around is mainly for silhoutte, tactical shooting, and almost all handgun shooting no rifle.
mikeschroeder: we don't have nothing of that over here, and that's a great price men.
Spencer C: yes I already found nice info on that site.

Thanks a lot for your support.

Hi

The Smallbore coaching classes are listed on www.nra.org, with becoming a coach. Whoops, read the Panama part, might be a bit of a walk to go to one.

Check out the ISSF's website. There is a link to watch videos clips of different World Cup competitions etc. I found it helpful, after studying Ways of the Rifle, to watch the elite shooter perform. That helped me to imporve my positions.

You need to shoot some matches too- even if they are postals. There is a fellow Don Williams, in Oregon who runs a very nice postal every winter and summer. People from all over the world shoot it. We shoot it every winter. We shoot mostly smallbore in summer. I have sent you his email in a private message email him for some info.
