All,

We have a very large, robust, and fast growing Youth Shooting Sports Program here in Spalding County Georgia. A while back, the CMP offered Remington 40X .22s with sights and our Club bought several. We have these, in "as purchased" (most are in very good, to great) condition. We have decided to offer what we have, one a year, to a select group of buyers. We will offer 144 - $50.00 tickets (no more, and the drawing will occur as soon as the 144th donation is made) or "donations" each year. These donations will be our primary funding stream for our shooting sports club for a given year. Since you will make your checks payable to Spalding Co. 4H, and note that it is for "Shooting Sports" you will have helped us and yourself too. The Rifle will be available to any lawful US Citizen, and will be transferred to an FFL of your choosing. Your Tickets will be mailed to you with your position on the posterboard noted. If you'd like to donate and receive "Tickets" you may do so by sending your $50.00 per Ticket - Checks, made payable to Spalding Co. 4H.

Rules:
Ticket purchases will be entered onto a posterboard, with 144 positions or squares on a "first received, first entered" basis. Names will be written, one per square, left to right, top to bottom until all 144 squares are filled. Playing cards will then be drawn to assign positions first on the left side, then on the top. You may purchase multiple tickets.

Spalding Co. 4H Shooting Sports, reserves the right to substitute a cash award of up to $500.00 should the winning ticket purchaser choose the cash over the Remington 40X .22 Rifle with Sights. Spalding Co. Shooting Sports will make every reasonable attempt to resolve any issue in a fast, fair, manor. The decision of Spalding Co. Shooting Sports is final.

Hi

You don't want to do that without permission from your state idiots. Ours were EXTREMELY UPSET about the whole thing when they were asked about it.

Not following the state's gaming laws and regulations on lotteries can get you in trouble. We even had problems with the US Postal Service when we advertised a raffle being held in conjunction with a Friends of NRA dinner.

We're Legal and have covered those bases

Mike and Paul, others too

We've covered those bases. The Sheriff as well as our Chief of Police here are great shooting sports supporters. We've put quite a few kids of Law Enforcement Officers through our program and we actually get a weekly Newspaper article during Riflery Season covering the two local High Schools. In fact, one of our kids just won the NRA 3P Air Rifle National Championship, Individual, and team Georgia (from Griffin) came in second up in Bloomington. The News story was three quarters of the page, above the fold, and the little story at the bottom... Tiger Woods wins the British Open. We have things in their proper perspective here in Georgia!

Thanks for your concerns and advice, please help us sell those tickets and buy several too. It's a great Rifle, and a better cause.

Hi

You're not getting our message. Our STATE 4-H groups stated that if we held a raffle that we'd get kicked out of 4-H as instructors. As long as you have the right forms, the cops and BATF couldn't have cared less.

Mike,

That's another reason (McConnell AFB, 1978 - 1982) I left Kansas... It's good to be in Georgia. Our 4H folks are very supportive here, and They look at us as being "self sufficient." What a concept. So how many tickets did you want? Great Rifle and Great cause.

Thanks,

$50 a ticket? Lots of luck.

Donations are coming in

Two things make this a "great deal." One is that it's a donation to 4H. The second is that the winner gets the choice of $500.00 cash or a rifle that can bring $900.00 - $1200.00 on the market.

We're doing fine with sales.

Thanks,

Roy McClain

Sounds like a great way to raise some funds! Looks like you have it all covered. I bought a couple of the $50 tickets that U. of W. Virginia rifle team put out and can hardly wait until the drawing.

Tickets are moving so jump in while there's still a (1 in 144 per ticket purchased) chance to win. Carol will mail your receipt to you for your use at tax time, and you'll know that you helped build one of the newest indoor smallbore ranges available today. The Range will have 50 meter (25 meter is also a possibility) as well as 50 ft Smallbore and lots of 10 meter space.
